I’ve never eaten this type of food before, so this was a cool experience for me. We had no idea what to order. I knew that I wanted to try some fried green tomatoes, which I now know that I’m not a big fan of. I also knew that I absolutely without a doubt would be having beignets for dessert.
As appetizers we ordered fried green tomatoes, boudin balls and the fried calamari. The calamari was my favorite, the others didn’t really have too much taste and were a little too bland for my palette.
My dad ordered the beef medallion on mashed potatoes.
My mom ordered the gumbo
I had the pecan crusted salmon. Great choice!
Of course we had our beignets.
