Today my co-worker Verna and I met up with a friend of ours for lunch. We left it up to Kyree to choose the place. As we were walking she stopped at an entrance to a lane which held this little podium at the end. What I thought was the hostess stand to the entrance of a restaurant was actually the counter that we order our food at. There were 4 tables set up in front where we were to dine. This was where I was a little sketchy about eating here, it looked very run down, but Kyree insisted that the food was great so we agreed to give it a try. She was right, the food was great. I guess I’ve been reminded once again to never judge a book by its cover.
Isn't it funny how hole-in-the-wall places often end up being the most delicious? Where I live, there's a Thai restaurant in an old Burger King. It's not the prettiest place, but it has the BEST Thai food.

It's so true. In Hawaii we have so many of those, especially the food trucks 🙂
