A few days ago I announced that I am expecting my 4th child. Though it’s really early on in my pregnancy it’s already soooo different from my other three. During my other pregnancies I didn’t experience any type of sickness and with this one I feel nauseous almost the entire second half of my day. I wake up feeling fine and then all of a sudden I just feel sick- I guess I’m having “evening” sickness lol. Also, I never really had strong cravings with my other pregnancies, I actually had to look up when cravings begin because I had no idea that they could start this soon, but sure enough I found out that a lot of women start cravings pretty early on. I feel like an idiot because I would look at women who had crazy craving and I’d be like…. ‘OMG get it together woman, control yourself’ but now I’m kicking myself in the ass because I totally can’t control it! Normally I am very picky about what I eat, not in the sense of I’m a picky eater, but in the sense where I love to eat so I plan early on what I’m going to eat for lunch and dinner early in the day so that I can make sure that it’s what I really want so that I’ll really enjoy it. So now it’s even worse, I’m craving all these things and trying to narrow it down to what I’m actually going to eat! It’s becoming very tiring. And it becomes disappointing when I eat what I’m craving only to have it make me feel like crap. I hope that I don’t experience this through my entire pregnancy *fingers crossed*
It’s also been a while since my youngest was born; she’s 7 years old now, so yes, I’m also older. I feel like I have no energy to exercise … but I will make myself, I promise! I really don’t want to gain too much weight that I’ll have a difficult time losing after- or I at least maintain my weight while I stuff my face.
But I’m soooo happy and I think that’s the most important thing. For a long time I thought we were done and that my daughter was our last. Now I’m pretty sure that this is my last one and I look forward to enjoying this pregnancy to the fullest even if I feel sick most of the time.
In case you’re curious, here are some of the cravings I’ve been having….
~Deep fried pickles dipped in ranch
~Loaded baked potatoes (sour cream, shredded cheddar, bacon bits, butter and chives)
And pretty much anything savory; chicken marsala, steak and onions, loco moco the list doesn’t end. My food posts should be getting pretty interesting here on my site so be sure to stay tuned.
