Do you extreme coupon? I really need to jump on this bandwagon!

So on Saturday my mind was blown when my cousin started schooling the rest of us on Extreme Couponing.  I mean I really had no idea how much could be saved and how easy it is.  She’s been doing it for a while now and it’s made a world of a difference in how much money she has in her pocket.  We threw a baby shower for her (she’s expecting in July) and she was telling us how she’s stocked up on diapers and wipes and how it’s hardly cost her a thing.  She’s even had moments where she’s gotten money back!

I decided that this is something I really need to start doing and I’m super excited about it!  I don’t know the first thing about where to start or where to find the best deals but I’m pretty good at researching so… here we go!!!!!

Do any of you coupon?  I’d love some good tips and advice.  I live in Hawaii so I don’t know if some coupons wouldn’t be good here?  I guess I’ll find out along the way:)  I’ll be sure to let you all know how my first week turns out and how much money I actually save.  Wish me luck!

  1. I’m big on saving money so I’d love to save even more with coupons! At least these days, you can probably find some online too with a bit of research (just make sure to read the small print and see if they accept it in stores!) Let us know how it goes! I think this should be a future goal of mine too!

    • I found a site called coupons.com, my cousin uses it I found a bunch of coupons for things that I normally buy like paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. My cousin said that the coupons work on top of the store sale price, so I guess when its time to shop I’ll need to jump online and look at the weekly specials on the store site to make sure I get the best deal. It sounds like a lot of work but I’m determined to try it.

  2. I have saved thousands of dollars using coupons. You have to be careful when using coupons because a lot of people fall into the trap of buying an item just because they have a coupon. This will cost them more in the long run. I just put up a post about this yesterday! I also gave a list of where you can find coupons! 🙂

    • That is my biggest fear about this whole thing. I am totally one to see a great deal and buy something just because it’s cheap and not because I need it. Thank you so much for the list!

  3. Oh my word… PLEASE TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!!! I would LOVE to learn!!! LoL so ANY info that you post about I will gladly read. I have looked into it a few times, but to me it seems so confusing too. Plus I live in a small town and don’t have alot of shops I can go to. 😦 Anyway I can’t wait to read all about your adventure.

    • I really don’t know what to do either hahaaa! I’m just learning. For now I’m just printing out coupons from coupons.com (they’re pretty much good everywhere) and I’ll be looking through my upcoming Sunday paper. Yesterday I went to the supermarket where with my club card I got a box of cereal at the discounted price of $4 then used a $1 off coupon. So basically I bought a $5.68 box of cereal for $3. I was pretty happy with that. But I want BIGGER savings! lol
