My little girl is growing up so fast. I can’t believe she’s 3 already. We celebrated all weekend with a camping trip on the North Shore. We stayed at camp Mokule’ia where we rented a cabin (because I need a private bathroom, shelter and electricity). We really lucked out because we were able to rent a cabin just a week in advance. The camp is currently being renovated so they gave us the end cabin and we were literally the only ones there! It was like we had our own private beach. It was amazing!
My dad lives only a few minutes away, so he was able to spend a lot of time with us. We had family join us on Saturday for a BBQ, fishing, crab hunting at night and of course we roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. Everyone was happy and having a great time, especially the kids. I love that my kids are able to look back and remember this, the way I remember when I would go camping with my cousins when I was younger.
Aria was loving all of the “Happy Birthday” wishes from everyone that came by all weekend. She heard it so much that by Sunday night she actually said “my birthday is done already”, it was hilarious! Im going to make it a point to start doing more of these little “staycations” with my family, having all of my kids together laughing and enjoying each other is what I live for.
