Girl Power Playlist

I love when I’m in the car and some random song by Beyonce or Taylor Swift pops on and I find myself belting it out.  It gets me in a mood that has me going through my music trying to find all the songs that make me so proud of being a girl.  This morning I put together this playlist and I’m loving the way its making me feel!  I just wanted to share this with all my girls out there.

If you think there’s a song that you think I should include please let me know so I can add it.

My Valentine’s Playlist

Valentine’s Day is only a couple of days away, so I decided to put together a little playlist of love songs. I tried to choose songs that would make a really good mix. Gavin Degraw, Christina Perry, Cold Play, Beyonce, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer… A little bit on something for everyone. Hope you enjoy!

Today is gonna be a great day… I just feel it!

Do you ever have those days where you just wake up feeling great and knowing that the day ahead is going to be a good one? That’s the kind of day that today is. It’s not a special day where I’m looking forward to something fun that is planned, I just feel good! Every morning I wake up it is my routine to first say “Thank you God for giving me this day” then I “try” to be positive even though all I really want to do is go back to sleep. But this morning… I woke up with a happy feeling, thanked God and woke my kids up with kisses. I got their breakfast ready (without huffing and puffing), and listened to some awesome music while driving to work. The sunrise was beautiful! The icing on the cake is that I work with some pretty fun girls and we’re always laughing throughout the day. I hope you all have as wonderful of a day as my morning’s been going. Oh and…. It’s HUMP DAY!!!

BTW- this morning I discovered that when in traffic, this song right here is a great song to listen to.

My Favorite Soundtracks

Are you like me in the sense that every time you watch a movie and hear a song you like you either write it down or Shazam it so that you can download it later? I do it constantly. Most movies have one or two good songs, but then there are those movies that you just know you’re going to purchase the entire soundtrack as soon as it comes out.  Here are some of my favorite soundtracks that I’ve come across. Loving Scandal- & it’s soundtrack!

I’m suffering from a Scandal hangover this morning.  I spent Saturday watching the entire first season and I am hooked!  Last night I started season 2 and didn’t get to bed until about 1:30am-  needed to wake up at 5:30 to get to work- now I’m hear wanting to go home and finish the season.  This show is awesome- great actors, great fashion, suspense that grips me and can I also say that the soundtrack is so good that I actually made a Spotify playlist!  Enjoy

One of my favorite things to do is to lay in bed, turn on some music and zone out!  This is the playlist that use to relax either at home or on my drive to and from work.  Each of these songs have a smooth sound and a good beat!  I just close my eyes and enjoy.  What are some of your favorite “chill out” songs?
