Good Morning Everyone! Once again my weekend went by way too fast! Busy Busy Busy! On Friday evening we had a BBQ at my house. Sorry there are no pic to show except for these pretty cupcakes. I was having way too much fun drinking and catching up with friends and family that I honestly didn’t even have my phone on me. But the cupcakes were very pretty…
On Saturday Kuha’o had to take his SSAT’s while Tea had a baseball game. At about 2pm the kids and I headed over to Maui’s baseball game while Kahele headed off to his track meet. Maui did so good as catcher, but unfortunately they lost. Here’s a Vine that I got of him throwing out the guy heading to second base. Yay!
Sunday, we had some free time in the morning before heading off to Kuha’os baseball game (yes, baseball consumes all of our time). That evening we BBQ’d (again), this time at Kahele’s parents house. The evening was so pretty. Aria even seemed to be relaxed in Daddy’s arms.
My sister took my kids to California! Maui, Kuha’o and Tea are all at Disneyland as I write this post. They are sending me pictures and I’m getting so jealous of how much fun they’re having without me:( Before my brother-in-law passed he told my sister that when he goes he wants her to take his daughters along with all his nieces and nephews to Disneyland and have fun. For over two years their family struggled while dealing with his cancer and his wish was for my sister and his daughters to get off the island and have a fun trip to their favorite family destination.
I debated on whether it would be worth it to go, but after juggling with the thought I realized that traveling with a 3 month old just wouldn’t be fun for anyone. I wouldn’t be able to ride any rides and I’d just be holding everyone up with all the baggage that would have to be lugged around (stroller, car seat, etc.). In the end I decided not to go. It was so weird to not have to get breakfast ready for the kids and to actually sleep in for an extra half hour. As much as I want Monday to come around (that’s when they come back) I want them to have the time of their lives.
Here are some pictures that they sent to me
Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! This weekend was full and exhausting but oh so fun. On Friday we finally got to pick up Kuha’o from explorations. I was beyond excited when we arrived for his Ho’ike at Kamehameha. I was amazed at their performance that they put on for the families- I was really impressed by all that they learned over just a 5 day span. He made so many new friends from the outer islands and he and my niece are still talking about how much fun they had.
On Saturday my family got together to support my cousin Kepa- he entered the Ikaika bodybuilding competition. He entered the physique portion of the competition and ended up placing 5th. We were so proud of him, he really worked his butt off and for his first time ever entering he did awesome. Kahele said that it inspired him to get back in the gym and start lifting again. I sat there and honestly was inspired to eat! lol. Before the competition we had dinner at my favorite restaurant, Shokudo, with a few of my cousins.
Kepa is on the far right. One thing about Iphones- they take great close up photos but terrible zoom shots.
Tiana, Alohi and I! My cousins and I are so close that we’re actually all like siblings 🙂 Good job on eliminating the baby bump in the pic Kahele lol.

On Sunday we were able to sleep in and have a lazy day before heading out to the 50th State Fair. It was overcast and the perfect weather to be at the fair. I can’t stand when it’s scorching hot at the fair. The kids had a blast and we spent way too much money. But we never feel too bad when the kids have those huge smiles on their faces.
That’s about it! I wish I’d taken more photos but when I’m enjoying myself I always get so caught up in the moment that I forget to capture it. Probably need to work on that little flaw while blogging lol 🙂
Over the weekend we attended the O’o Awards. My father-in-law was a recipient this year (what an honor). It was absolutely beautiful. The highlight of the evening is when Kahele did the Oli (chant) to present his father. There were so many tears on our table lol. Here are some photos and a couple of Vines from that night. We even got to see the fireworks! Great night!
There was a table with a little message book
