Hawaiian Aroma

Hawaiian Aroma

This little cafe just opened up in the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber hotel.  It’s an open air cafe located right off to the side of the pool. They offer not only coffee, but fresh sandwiches, pastries and Italian Sodas or Cremosa (Italian soda with cream).

The prices are a little on the high-end which is totally expected in Waikiki, but even after letting them know that I was Kama’aina (local resident) they didn’t offer me a discount *sad face*.  So unfortunately I only bought a Peach Cremosa that costs me a whopping $6+ with tax. The taste was die-licious, but come on I know what goes into an Italian Soda and that is pretty damn expensive for a 16oz cup!

Being that this is more expensive than Starbucks, without the reward program I should add, I may not be going back here too often.  It is a really beautiful cafe though.  If a couple of co-workers wanted to grab some coffee and lounge for a bit I would definitely spend the extra cash for the comfort.

Uncle Tetsu Waikiki

Have you ever had a Japanese style cheesecake?  Well lemme tell you it is one of the most die-licious things I’ve ever had.  The taste and texture is like heaven in your mouth.

Imagine if a cheesecake and a spongecake were to have a baby. lol… but seriously that’s the best way I can explain it.  Not too sweet, super light and it just melts in your mouth.

If you ever come across a Japanese cheesecake be sure to try it.  It’s a yummy experience.

You can find Uncle Tetsu in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center food court.

$8.50 is totally worth it!  I could eat the whole thing by myself.

They also carry some other sweet treats which I didn’t get to try this time around but plan on doing so in the near future.

I tried to capture how spongy and soft it is.
